      • About Your Kente Throw

This beautiful and vibrant throw has been inspired by the colorful Kente fabric, which originated from West Ghana in the 11th century. Kente comes from the word ‘kenten’, which means ‘basket’ in the Akan dialect, Asante. The fabric in itself is exceptional, as it was originally the royal cloth of kings, worn only in times of extreme importance. While its esteem remains high, Kente cloth is today in wide use. The different cloth designs carry specific non-verbal messages, such as Mako Maso Adeae (my heart’s desire) meaning ‘I love you’ when the cloth is left at the front door of a woman’s house. These are my favorite blankets. I’ve ordered 4 already. I look for reasons to buy a new one. They are the softest blankets. They are so beautiful, I keep one on my bed.

    Not as expected

This wasnt as big and soft as expected. I thought for the proce it would be a bit bigger and more comfy. Not worth the price to me.

    Nice accent piece and comfortable

Great product. A friend also purchased the same throw. It’s very comfortable and will be great for winter but until them it’s a beautiful accent piece.
